Like most other things we restore we're scared to use it for fear of scratching it, I never used this tractor after working on it for 6 years and finally traded it for a John Deere W111 power unit. I rebuilt the engine and put it all back together and drove it around for a while checking for leaks before finally painting it green. I can't find any pictures of the restore or how bad it looked when I brought it home (most of the engine was in a box) but I did find some after it was done and found one in my toolbox of while I was testing it for leaks. This tractor didn't have PTO on it, I found a parts tractor and added it. I had to add the hydraulic pump and get the hydraulic cylinder. I have a couple for our A and scaled them down. The cultivators didn't have the plant shields, I made every piece of them. I went the following Saturday and picked them up, he had every piece with all the shanks etc. I was at a tractor show and a man ask me if I needed any cultivators for an H, I said yes how much? He said $100. I couldn't see spending that much on fenders after restoring the H, lol. I had an H (1942), had every option you could get except fenders. I don't think there's that big of a following on the John Deere H as there are the Cubs.
